Costa Rican member firm Sfera Legal has expanded their offices nationally to include San José, Escazú; Guanacaste, Tamarindo; Guanacaste, El Coco; and Guanacaste, Flamingo as well as three more Central American countries: Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
Growth and expansion were part of Sfera's objective six years ago, when Sfera Legal where starting to walk their first steps in the national market. “In that moment we strived to become a reference in the country, but we were also aiming in being such in a regional level, that’s why all of these mergers in Central America are part of the objectives outlined since the beginning of the development of the firm”, said Mr. Robert C. van der Putten, funding partner of the Costa Rican firm.

Guatemala was the first country in which Sfera Legal expanded, when just a year ago, under the alliance with partners with a wide experience in such Country, Gabriel Pallarés and Estuardo Galamero, created the regional project, in which young talent is combined with new specialized areas of practice.
On May 15 of 2018, the new offices of Sfera Legal El Salvador and Sfera Legal Nicaragua will be launched, and the strengthen of Sfera Legal Guatemala will be distinguished, with the objective of continuing breaking ground on the practice of law and in order to attend with a better proximity, the needs of its regional clients.
“Asensio Andrede Flores will merge with Sfera Guatemala, likewise Ayala & Betancourt with Sfera Legal El Salvador and Andrés Cuadra with Sfera Legal Nicaragua, solidifying the firm in the Central American region”, explained Robert C. van der Putten.
