The Director of the International Chamber of Commerce's Dispute
Resolution Services for Latin America joins Carey y Cia.
After several
years at the International Chamber of Commerce, of which she
was its Dispute Resolution Services' Director for Latin America
since 2004, Dyalá Jiménez has just joined Carey
y Cía.'s international arbitration department as Special
Counsel. As stated by Gonzalo Fernández, partner
of its litigation group, "Our hiring of Dyalá will
be a great contribution to the firm, strengthening our international
arbitration practice, which is growing more relevant each day
due to trade and international investment development".
Dyalá obtained her law degree in Costa
Rica and holds an LL.M. degree from Georgetown University (USA).
Before entering the ICC she worked at Shearman and Sterling's
arbitration practice group in Paris. She has given lectures
in several international arbitration seminars, publishing numerous
articles on the topic and is currently a professor at the Universidad
de Chile.
