Matheson Ormsby Prentice Picks Up "Clients Choice" Award from the International Law Office

September, 2005 - Matheson Ormsby Prentice accepted the "Clients Choice 2005" award for Ireland from the International Law Office (ILO) in Prague in a ceremony on 27 September. Michael Tyrrell, Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Partner, accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

The "Clients Choice" award was launched in April this year to recognize law firms around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care that they provide as well as the quality of their service. The criteria for the award included the law firms' ability to add real value to their client's business above and beyond other players in the market, as well as value for money, effective communication, billing transparency, depth of team, response time, and sharing of expertise and use of technology.

Award winners were chosen through extensive research and polling of senior corporate counsel at the vast majority of Fortune 500, FT Global 500, FT Euro 500 and FT Asia-Pacific 100 companies. The shortlist was then generated from an ILO subscriber survey of corporate counsel, which received more than 1,000 responses. Winners were chosen across 34 jurisdictions worldwide, where sufficient data was available.

"Client focused service and results are core values of our firm," commented Managing Partner Liam Quirke. "For this reason, we are especially pleased to receive this Client Choice award because it represents an affirmation of these values by our clients. I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the many talented people whose commitment to excellence makes our firm so valued."
